When installing E-Z Sweep , dig out dirt on both sides of well opening 65" x 20", not to disturb dirt under center of prepoured switch pad. Have backhoe operator dig down 40" deep, holding a 36 degree radius so E-Z Sweep will lay against back wall of well opening. This will eliminate a void behind E-Z Sweep . The only backfill necessary if installed properly will be front and sides. Be sure snout of E-Z Sweep is flat on bottom of hole. This will elminate buckling at flange area.
It is recommended to use backfill with sand if possible or good dirt. Do not use fill dirt with bricks, rocks or any debris which might puncture the E-Z sweep .
